14TH LANGLAIS FESTIVAL PROGRAMME 2018

Entry to all the concerts is free, with the exception of the concert at La Richardais.

Sunday 22nd July 10.30 Church at La Fontenelle Mass sung by the Chœur de l’Académie and the chorale Les Amis de Jean Langlais : Missa Brevis K140 by Mozart, Ave Verum Corpus by Elgar and Psaume 150 by César Franck.
Sunday 22nd July 12.30 Salle Polyvalente at La Fontenelle Association les Amis de Jean Langlais lunch
Tuesday 24th July 20.30 Basilica of Pontmain Malcolm Archer and David Bednall

Organ recital by Malcolm Archer and David Bednall : works by French, German and English composers and improvisations.

Thursday 26th July 20.30 Cathedral of Dol de Bretagne Chœur de l’Académie

Concert by the Chœur de l’Académie directed by Malcolm Archer : Messe Solennelle by Louis Vierne and works by Langlais, Batten, Rheinberger, Brahms, Randall Thompson, Stanford, Sumsion, Ireland, Archer and Bednall.

Friday 27th July 20.30 Church at La Fontenelle Concert by the Chœur de l’Académie directed by Malcolm Archer and the Chorale les Amis de Jean Langlais directed by Marie-Paule Bourdin
Wednesday 1st August 21.00 Church at La Richardais Lansdown Consort

The Lansdown Consort directed by David Bednall :  « a cappella » group of 8 young singers from England who will sing works by Langlais, Poulenc, Debussy, Gounod, Lotti, Bach, Stanford and Bednall.

Friday 3rd August 20.30 Church at Coglès The Lansdown Consort directed by David Bednall :  « a cappella » group of 8 young singers from England who will sing works by Langlais, Poulenc, Debussy, Gounod, Lotti, Bach, Stanford and Bednall.
