There are two main strands to the festival : organ music and choral music. In order to promote the latter, we have organised four choral courses since 2008 under the expert direction of Malcolm Archer, who is now an honorary member of our Association. Experienced singers from the UK, France, Italy, Hong Kong and Morocco, aged 15 to 80, have taken part and have performed concerts and sung church services as the Choeur de l’Académie du Festival Jean Langlais. This choir also sang at the annual Sailors’ Society service in St Columba’s Church, London on 25thOctober, 2011, its first venture in the UK. We have been invited to return to London in October.
